Introducing any virus, worm, spyware, Trojan horses or other program or code into any computer, computer system, software or disks.
Any activities intended to aid in identity or credit card theft
Engaging in any activities or access any material involving the sexual exploitation of minors, child pornography, or the luring of children
Viewing materials that are harmful to minors, when children are present
Violating federal copyright laws by making unauthorized copies of copyrighted or licensed
Software, data or publication on the Internet
Users must not use computer in unethical standards :
Violation of computer security.
Unauthorized use of computer accounts or access codes.
Use of computer which impede activity of others.
Violation of license software agreements.
Violation of network usage policies and regulations.
Violation of user privacy.
Computer cannot be used for :
Destruction or damage to equipment, software , or data belonging to the library.
Unauthorized monitoring or destruction of electronic communications.
Unauthorized use or destruction of data of others.
Unauthorized copying of copyright protected material.
Harassing, libeling or slandering of other users.
WIFI access provided by the Library is unsecured. Anti-virus, security, and privacy protection are the responsibility of the customer.
Customers are responsible for having the proper hardware, software, and network settings on their wireless device to connect to the Library provided WIFI. Library staff will not provide technical assistance.
The Library is not responsible for any theft, damage or misuse of customer’s personal notebooks, laptops and other mobile devices.
Hemingford Public Library does not provide virus protection, encryption or other security for WIFI connections. Customers that chose to use the Library WIFI connection are advised to install current anti-virus and firewall software on their personal computers.
Library staff will not configure personal computer equipment.
Use of Hemingford Public Library computers. Computer systems, computer programs, and access of the Internet on Hemingford Public Library computers or via the library’s WIFI network, is strictly at the users own risk.
