WebJunction Advocates
Learn about how WebJunction Advocates help us get the word out in local libraries, regions, or states.

Our community grows when people from other libraries hear about what we’re doing at WebJunction, and the impact we’re making on libraries. WebJunction Advocates help us get the word out in their local libraries, regions, and states. Charged with promoting WebJunction however they can, Advocates volunteer to:

  • Participate in quarterly conference calls to learn about the most recent changes and advances in our community.
  • Keep ears to the ground about community needs.
  • Encourage colleagues and peers to become active participants at WebJunction.
  • Receive and distribute updated WebJunction promotional materials, such as brochures, buttons, pens, mugs, videos, and flyers.
  • Conduct WebJunction training sessions with interested library staff.
  • Participate in State, Regional, or other professional conferences for library staff.

In short, Advocates get the word out about our community and encourage folks to get involved in everything we have to offer as a community.

WebJunction Advocates represent a number of US states and Canadian provinces. But they share a passion for helping library staff find and share useful information, enabling them to answer questions, share ideas, and perform more effectively in libraries--no matter where they may be.

We're currently looking for Advocates throughout the US and Canada. If you’d like to be a WebJunction Advocate for your library, region, or state, please let us know! Just email community@webjunction.org.
