Regulations and Compliance
Current funding for the Gi21 program ended on September 30, 2008 and the information found in the program modules is up-to-date as of December 31, 2008. To facilitate use of the modules from now till the future continuation of the program, new documents can be posted from each module and sub-module main pages and the community discussions are open. However the main module pages and documents will not be updated. If you have any questions, please contact Kirsten Clark. In the United States, businesses must observe rules and laws related to everything from the design of their buildings and the taxes they must pay to hiring and labor rulings and packaging and claims guidelines. Many of these rules and laws are federal and there are also state areas where complaince is required. A number of agencies can assist in this area of the business world. Key resources to answer these questions are discussed here. Training materials related to this submodule are incorporated into the Trainer Materials section on the main Small Business and Entrepreneurship page. |
