Current funding for the Gi21 program ended on September 30, 2008 and the information found in the program modules is up-to-date as of December 31, 2008. To facilitate use of the modules from now till the future continuation of the program, new documents can be posted from each module and sub-module main pages and the community discussions are open. Chemistry is a physical science concerned with the composition, structure and properties of matter as well as the chemical reactions which cause matter to change. The United States government, as the largest funding organization for scientific research, creates, publishes and uses chemical information in the development of standards, the investigation of renewable energy, and the impacts of chemistry on the environment.

NSCEP/NEPIS - EPA's Gateway to Free Digital and Paper Publications - Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) database providing access to tangible and electronic EPA reports from the 1970s. There are over 25,000 full text electronic reports and this collection continues to grow. The National Environmental Publications Internet Site (NEPIS) was incorporated into NSCEP in January 2007.
