Current funding for the Gi21 program ended on September 30, 2008 and the information found in the program modules is up-to-date as of December 31, 2008.  To facilitate use of the modules from now till the future continuation of the program, new documents can be posted from each module and sub-module main pages and the community discussions are open.  However the main module pages and documents will not be updated.  If you have any questions, please contact Kirsten Clark.


Agriculture is the production of food, feed and fiber through the systematic growth and harvesting of plants, animals and other life forms.  While most people think of "farming" when they hear the term, agriculture encompasses many subjects including horticulture, aquaculture, agronomy and animal husbandry.  This subsection of the Science & Technology module focuses on agricultural science and technical reports.

  • Agriculture Network Information Center (AgNIC) - "AgNIC is a voluntary alliance and partnership ofnearly 60 member institutions and organizations working to offer quick and reliable access to quality agricultural information and sources.   • National Technical Information Service (NTIS) - NTIS is an agency responsible for collecting for government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related since the 1950s.
