Current funding for the Gi21 program ended on September 30, 2008 and the information found in the program modules is up-to-date as of December 31, 2008. To facilitate use of the modules from now till the future continuation of the program, new documents can be posted from each module and sub-module main pages and the community discussions are open. Agriculture is the production of food, feed and fiber through the systematic growth and harvesting of plants, animals and other life forms. While most people think of "farming" when they hear the term, agriculture encompasses many subjects including horticulture, aquaculture, agronomy and animal husbandry. This subsection of the Science & Technology module focuses on agricultural science and technical reports.

National Agricultural Library Catalog - AGRICOLA - "The AGRICOLA catalog provides citations to agricultural literature. AGRICOLA includes two different databases, the NAL Catalog and the Article Citation database." http://agricola.nal.usda.gov/

Current Research Information System (CRIS) - "CRIS is the U.S. Department of Agriculture's documentation and reporting system for ongoing and recently completed research and education projects in agriculture, food and nutrition, and forestry. Food Safety Research Information Office (FSRIO) - The food safety research database is "an ongoing effort providing users with information on research projects through the cooperation of government agencies, educational institutions and other agencies. Agriculture Network Information Center (AgNIC) - "AgNIC is a voluntary alliance and partnership ofnearly 60 member institutions and organizations working to offer quick and reliable access to quality agricultural information and sources. The AgNIC portal covers a full range of agriculture, environmental, and food related disciplines and contains web sites, image collections, lists of publications, documents, databases, and other unique resources. Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Soils Website - NRCS website offers links to state, national, and international soil information and reports on soils. Some reports available in full text. http://soils.usda.gov/

Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) - Provides centralized access to all of Department of Defense's scientific and technical information on DoD's multidisciplinary research, development, engineering, and studies programs. Some reports available in full text. http://www.dtic.mil/

National Technical Information Service (NTIS) - NTIS is an agency responsible for collecting for government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related since the 1950s. The NTIS database provides citation information for over 3 million publications from 1964 to the present. http://www.ntis.gov/search/index.aspx/

Science.gov - Search engine providing single search access to over 50 million pages of government science and reseach results. Many results are available in full text. Site is maintained by the Science.gov Alliance, a group of STI government agencies. http://science.gov
