Current funding for the Gi21 program ended on September 30, 2008 and the information found in the program modules is up-to-date as of December 31, 2008.  To facilitate use of the modules from now till the future continuation of the program, new documents can be posted from each module and sub-module main pages and the community discussions are open.  However the main module pages and documents will not be updated.  If you have any questions, please contact Kirsten Clark.

  • Commitment to Development Index (CDI) rates 21 rich countries on how much they help poor countries build prosperity, good government, and security. Compiled by the Center for Global Development.
     
  • Countries information from the World Bank. Includes an overview, news, data and statistics, publications and reports, World Bank projects and programs, etc.
     
  • FAO Country Profiles and Mapping Information System FAO country-based data and maps. Includes satellite, administrative, land cover, climate, population, and agriculture maps. Reports area for each administrative division. Extensive links to landlocked, least developed and low income countries.
     
  • Human Development Reports Full text of UNDP Human Development Reports back to 1990, plus national Human Development Reports and an excellent statistics section on industrialized and developing countries. Data can be accessed by indicator or by country.
     
  • The IMF makes country information and data and statistics available.
     
  • ITC Country Profiles provide an overview of the International Trade Centre's activities, trade, and market profiles on a per-country basis. It also links to national trade support institutions and country-specific business information.
     
  • The Least Developed Countries Report from UNCTAD provides a comprehensive and authoritative source of socio-economic analysis and data on the world´s most impoverished countries.
     
  • OECD country web sites are one-stop-shop for OECD reports and statistics on OECD member countries.
     
  • United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provides an overview of USAID's activity in each country.
     
  • The UNU/WIDER-UNDP World Income Inequality Database is designed to collect and measure income inequality for nations at all levels of economic development.
