Everyone’s a consumer, and consumers have questions.  Do you know how and where to get the answers – before, during, and after a purchase?  Discover a wealth of information available to help consumers make purchasing decisions, research recalls, find out credit information, see if that food or drug is safe, or make complaints.  There will also be a demonstration on how to find demographic information.  In addition to the useful information produced by the United States Census Bureau, we will look at government websites that provide crime, education, health, and labor demographics.  Training is funded by the IMLS Government Information in the 21st Century grant.

The Government Information in the 21st Century Program is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.  Additional support is provided by the University of Colorado at Boulder as well as Arizona State Library, Archives, and Public RecordsNew Mexico State LibraryWyoming State Library; and Utah State University.
